Emergency power supply with renewable energies

In the project, a mobile emergency power supply was developed with the inclusion of renewable energies and implemented in a standard container. The aim is to provide fast and uncomplicated assistance in crisis areas.

Summary

An emergency power supply enables the establishment of a functioning infrastructure in crisis areas for planning further aid measures. Besides, during humanitarian aid missions in developing and emerging countries, there is often no adequate power supply.
The developed container system in a standard container has a hybrid concept with photovoltaic, wind power and battery storage. By means of a retractable mechanism, the energy systems can be set up or dismantled within one or two hours for easy transport. In addition, special software has been adapted to carry out energy management in line with actual requirements. The starting of the system was designed to be as simple as possible, so that no specialist personnel is required on site.
