Emergency District Heating in Choibalsan, Mongolia
The Energy Authority of Mongolia has initiated a project which aims to contribute both to the habitability of the town of Choibalsan and to safeguarding economic development opportunities in Eastern Mongolia by maintaining the local heat and power supply. A refurbishment of individual turbines and boilers is intended to improve both energy reliability and the efficiency of the power plant. The project is being subsidised with KfW (Reconstruction Loan Corporation) funds.
