Hydroelectric power plant at Naga Hammadi (Egypt)

The project of the „Egyptian Electricity Authority” and other co-partners aims at the construction of a new weir system and of a hydroelectric power plant with a capacity of 64 MW at Naga Hammadi (Egypt) in order to secure not only agrarian irrigation schemes but also to contribute to an economically advantageous allocation of eco friendly produced energy. The project receives funding from the KfW.
