Hydroelectric power plant at Ghazi-Barotha (Pakistan)

The venture of the „Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA)“ aimed at installing a run-of-river power station located at the upper reaches of the Indus River near Barotha in Pakistan. The power plant contributes to an enhanced power supply of Pakistan by providing low cost renewable energy and the installation also supports the economic development of the country. The project receives funding from the KfW.
