Turbo-well for the cleaning of groundwater of volatile contaminants

The in-situ strip-system "turbo-well" was developed for the recuperation of volatile contaminants from the groundwater and is based on the transfer of pollutants solved in the water into the gaseous phase (here processing air). The in-situ cleaning works according to the principle of the groundwater circulation flow in the underground. The water circulation takes place via a propeller installed in the well pipe. In the water column above the propeller, sparkling with bubbles, a pollutant exchange from water to air takes place. The air leaking out at the well head is cleaned by activated charcoal filters (detailed information in German).
