ENERGIEWENDE BAUEN. Forschungserkenntnisse von der Komponente bis zum Quartier (2020)

Summary

The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy assumes that around 35 % of the total energy demand in Germany is accounted for by the building sector. Energy-optimised buildings, intelligent control and networking as well as an economical and climate-friendly energy supply for buildings and neighbourhoods are therefore central components for a successful energy and heat transition. All of these are also important research topics to prepare solutions that contribute to achieving national and European environmental protection goals. Many of these topics have been and are being addressed through the accompanying research instrument "Energy in Buildings and Neighbourhoods". On more than 300 pages, this publication presents the essential projects and the most important results and findings from each. It also names numerous contacts for the various subjects and sources for obtaining additional project information and also refers, among other things, to the map-based overall project overview and database that can be viewed at www.energiewendebauen.de/projektlandkarte/.
