Aerated concrete with improved recyclability, environmental compatibility and CO2 balance

Innovative, novel autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) formulations have been developed and investigated that enable AAC manufacturers to produce low-sulphate AAC, because sulphate is an obstacle in the recycling of AAC construction waste. To achieve this, the formulation must be as low in cement as possible and function without the sulphate carriers used so far. The tasks of the cement and sulphate carrier components should be fulfilled as much as possible by calcined or high-fired clay.
